In unison with the mission of the congregation of Holy Cross,
the mission of the Global Justice Committee
is to be a voice for compassion -
seeking justice in our close community, in Canada and in the wider world.

• Lutheran Outreach Volunteers work under the auspices of the Global Justice Committee, providing food support for individuals and families in the Newmarket area, at Christmas and throughout the year.
• The LOV food support ministry assisted many individuals and families during 2010, usually with food vouchers but also with Christmas baskets. Approximately $4000 of support was given
• We support The Inn From the Cold's Community Meal program by preparing and hosting meals for those in need.
• We have also supplied the Crosslinks van with clothing and food. The Crosslinks van provides outreach to the homeless throughtout York Region
• We continue in close support of the York Region Kairos group. 
• We work to educate ourselves and our community about the need to work for peace through justice.
